Each object is analyzed to determine five characteristics: object type, perceived emotion, color mood, shape, and texture.
Selecting one object per category from the publication Analyzing Objects: Found & Arranged, 49 objects are assigned emotions analyzed by a computer. This exploration seeks to answer lingering questions about attraction, applying the concept of ‘pathetic fallacy’, where human emotions and traits are attributed to inanimate objects.
To add a visual dimension, AI-generated images depicting these assigned emotions are included. These results are primarily human-like, as emotions are typically attributed to living beings. This approach highlights the AI’s role in assigning emotions based solely on understanding words and meanings, even though it cannot actually feel them.
